Bioactive compounds from MPP (1 g) were extracted with 20 ml of
80% acetone, centrifuged at 10,000g for 15 min. The supernatant obtained was analyzed for total phenolics and carotenoids, and the residue obtained was analyzed for soluble and insoluble dietary fiber contents as described earlier by Ajila, Leelavathi, and Prasada Rao (2008)
