In conclusion, stunted Nile tilapia responded increased
feed availability to compensate for early growth retardation
and produce more seed compared to the normal
broodfish. A suitable feeding rate for the normal Nile
tilapia broodfish in clear water system was found to be at
2% biomass per day. In contrast, stunted broodfish gave
highest seed production at 3% feeding rate. There is an
indication (trend) that feeding rate could be possibly
further increased to produce more seed.
