Each subject's appetite level prior to lunch was assessed before,
every 2 weeks in between, and at the end of the intervention, by
means of visual analog scales (VASs) [24]. Gradingwasmade on
a 100-mm marked line between “no appetite” at one end and
“uncontrollable appetite” at the other, with low, average, high,
and very high points in between. After the participants marked
the questionnaires, these qualitative values converted to
quantitative values from 1 to 100 mm.
