The Farmer and the Stork
There was a strong farmer living near the forest. The home of a flock of cranes was near the farmer’s field. The cranes always ate crops in the field, and make lots of troubles to the farmer. To scare off those cranes, the farmer made scarecrows. The cranes were not scared of the scarecrows . The farmer stretched a net to trap those cranes. There were the cranes, and a stork that were trapped in the net. The stork struggled and tried to escape from the net. It saw the farmer walking closer, the stork begged him, “Please let me go. I am not the one who eat your crops.” “They are cranes and not me who make troubles to you.” “May be right, but you were caught together with the cranes that had destroyed my crops,” the farmer answered. “So, you must
receive the same punishment as these cranes.” The farmer said at last.
