The development of the Training Laboratory has been of
the greatest benefit to teaching assistants, especially for those
that did not undertake any undergraduate studies at the
university. The first benefit is in relation to training.
International teaching assistants can have less exposure to
practical experiments, and if they do have exposure they might
not be familiar with the same equipment. The Training
Laboratory provides a one stop shop that the teaching
assistants can use to learn about the equipment, or refer to
when they do not know the answer.
