In the morning I loved sitting and looking out of the window. Once standing there was a guava tree spreading its shady branches. Every day I saw a couple of sparrows standing perched on the branch. They looked to be in high spirits, flying from one arm to the next. While swooping down, they pecked at white guava flowers, which dropped onto the ground. Hopping around, they never stood still. At the end of the month, the owner of the house l rented told me he would build one more house on an empty plot of land where the guava tree stood. It was finally cut down.
