Digestibility and proximal analysis
The most remarkable result in the previous experiment – which compared total digestion
times at 6 different experimental temperatures – was the difference between the both
temperature extremes: 4 hours at 24°C and 2 hours at 34°C, leading to the question that if 2
hours were long enough for shrimp to efficiently absorb feed nutrients at 34°C. Therefore, a
new test was performed to study feed digestion at 2 different experimental temperatures:
29°C and 33°C. A proximal analysis of the feed digested would show the difference
between both temperatures.
