My answer is Yes. It's because, beauty pageants was classified as one competitive that require both losers and winners. Same as the other general competition. Difference is competing other species requires the ability to prevail. But beauty pageants requires both talent and beauty, as well. And the key is also be a good person to get recognition from society, too. Of course, when there is competition, the contestants each have a desire to win to get what they want. In beauty pageants, something that many contestants hoped to get the same, that is nobleness, get lots of money, one path to becoming an actor, proved themselves to be recognized by society, or other varies reasons. However, beauty pageants is also an activity that is very popular especially among ladies. Assume it is the dream of many women in the world. It is because of the return that the winner will receive. It has tremendous value, something which can not evaluate the value of money. Such as recognized from many people, or even the famous to make money from various jobs in the future. All of this reason make me think that, beauty pageants are exploitative. This is my opinion.
