Community education efforts will bear rewards
such that there should be the following.
(1) Improved livestock, through the restoration
of the rangeland and better management.
(2) Improved arable lands. For years Botswana
has suffered long-lasting droughts which bring
about poverty and famine. People often lose great
numbers of livestock. Collective community thinking,
planning and implementation and addressing
the issues of the droughts should develop sustainable
programmes able to combat such situations.
(3) Increased control of the forests and an
increased contribution from fisheries, both from
lakes and dams.
