Crop duration also impacts final potential yields. In warmer climates it is possible to harvest two crops per year from sweet
sorghum; where as only a single sugar cane crop can be harvested in a year. The second sorghum crop need not require
a second planting, as sorghum produces what is called a ratoon crop.
