This systematic literature review identifies what current assessments within the occupational therapy scope of practice are currently being delivered via telerehabilitation to adult clients who have experienced a cerebrovascular accident (CVA). A thorough search of current literature was done to identify the assessments being used and four studies were found to match the inclusion criteria of this study. These studies identified a variety of assessments being used via telerehabilitation, both occupational therapy specific assessments, as well as assessments which can be related to the occupational therapy scope of practice. The lack of occupational therapy specific studies delivered through telerehabilitation services indicates the need for more rigorous research that establishes reliability and validity for various types of assessments occupational therapists can use when working with adults in a remote location who have experienced a CVA.
