Something surprising recently is, my bed hair today! I took off my knitted hat in front of the mirror in the studio just now, and my hair was standing up just like a pineapple till I couldn’t believe my eyes (laugh). Something that normally gets me surprised is when I watch soccer matches. The one I remember most is a match I watched when I was in high school, champions league – Liverpool vs Milan. Milan got 3 points in the first half, and I thought it was impossible for Liverpool to win, but in the second half, Liverpool got 3 points in 6 minutes. The game ended in a PK match and Liverpool won. I was shouting “Whoa!!!” while watching in my room, and my brother, who was watching in another room was also shouting while coming into my room (laugh).
As for being surprised when meeting people, when I was still a junior, I participated in Music Station for the first time and when I saw Tamori san. I thought, “Tamori san exists!“ (laugh) I still can’t get used to it now, and everytime I meet him, I think “It’s Tamori san!” (laugh)
I often notice surprises before they take place, so I don’t have much memories of being surprised. Even in haunted houses at theme parks, I know when the ghosts will appear so it is fine. But I will probably be afraid of things which suddenly happen or shock me and make me go “Wa!” Among the members, Keito is the one who gets scared most. He loses his composure when he is shocked by something (laugh). A few years ago, we gave Yamada a surprise on his birthday where Takaki and Inoo pretended to have a fight. Yamada got a shock and he went “Oh no oh no!” and that was interesting (laugh)
I am currently in the midst of Takizawa Kabuki rehearsals. During the breaks, I am often with Tackey and Kitayama, and we went to eat monjayaki and persimmons. I only knew about this recently, that Tackey doesn’t normally do muscle training. I was surprised when I heard that the muscles were formed naturally during the rehearsals and the actual performances. Also, all of us do muscle training everyday after rehearsals. Fukazawa (Tatsuya) and the other juniors are responsible for that, and when I say “I am tired so that’s all for today….”, they tell me “No!” (laugh) I want everyone to see how serious we are during the actual performance!
