of the oil palm plantation workers. The respondents
were workers who were relatively young, with
a mean age of 31.38 (standard deviation, 9.68) years and
the majority of the workers were men (84.6%). According
to citizenship, 285 (81.4%) of the respondents were nonMalaysians.

primary or secondary school experience and 101 (28.9%)
