In the whole process of composting, the
urease activities tended to decline in C(300), D(600) and E(900),
and appeared lower in these treatments than in A(Control), and
the urease activities in the former treatments were ranked in the
order of C(300) > D(600) > E(900), which indicated that in the process of composting, where the heavy metal Cu content was above
300 mg, it would present inhibiting effect on the enzyme, which
got intensified as the Cu contents increased
