Other findings summarised in Table IV show that delegative leadership style is
significantly related to all the four transformational leadership factors. Delegative
leadership is therefore judged to be a very popular leadership style practised by many
managers in their organisations, directive leadership style is the next most used style
and consultative and participative styles are the least favourite styles in a scheme of
widespread application within organisations. One of the implications of these findings
is that the practise of each type of transactional and transformational leadership factor
makes the concomitant style of leadership more likely to be used with the attendant
advantages and disadvantages
