Big Hit Entertainment was founded on February 1, 2005.[1] Lim Jeong Hee debuted with Big Hit in 2005 and in 2007 became part of the mixed-gender trio 8Eight with Baek Chan and Lee Hyun. In 2009, boy group 2AM moved to Big Hit from JYP Entertainment for four years. In 2013, 2AM's contracts with Big Hit ended and three of the members returned to JYP. Lee Changmin stayed with Big Hit due to his desire to focus on his solo career and duo 'Homme'.[2]
In 2010, Bang Si-Hyuk held nation-wide auditions and the first member of Bangtan Boys (BTS), Rap Monster, was signed. One year later Suga was confirmed as a rapper for BTS. J-Hope, Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were also recruited for the group. They debuted in 2013.[3]
In 2015, Lim Jeong Hee parted ways with Big Hit Entertainment after working with Bang Si hyuk for ten years
