V. CARE SUPPORT SYSTEM
Through the above-mentioned survey,we found that
many users were very interested in using smartphones to
gain information on the health and living conditions of their
family. However, an issue in making this an actual service is
the spread of LNS devices and products that can be used
with the system using adapters. Thus, we will create a model
that can be used as the actual service while using devices that
have already been implemented and are currently useable.
We have conducted a study on the households of senior
citizens and handicapped people using LNS to smoothly
share information between family and home helpers. Home
helpers provide nursing and domestic services based on a
care plan created by a care manager. The home helper visits
the home of the person requiring nursing and makes a report
to the care manager regarding the domestic and support
services they provided such as the time of the visit, the
patient’s physical condition, nursing information, shopping,
and more. The care manager confirms that proper services
are being provided based on the report and in turn reports to
the family and bills for nursing services, etc. We are
considering the following plan of computerizing this method
of reporting between the home helper and the care manager
and reporting information to the family through links with
LNS. The helper enters the time of the visit and nursing
service information by operating an internet-based screen on
a tablet. The information entered is sent to a system that
manages service information; at the same time, a message is
sent to the API of each patient’s allotted LNS server. After
the information is received by the LNS server, it is posted to
the patient’s Facebook page through the Faacebook API. By
using settings on Facebook to share the post only with the
accounts of family members using Facebook and not the
general public, it is possible to share nursing information
only with a specified group. We believe that by having not
only the immediate family but also other relatives, residents
living nearby, doctors, home helpers, and care managers join
the group, information concerning the patient’s health and
