As if to match the mood, it rained that day. The grey clouds covered the whole sky and cried as the burial took place. Everyone present looked down; not daring to gaze up and see the horrible truth in front of them- death.
Everything was quiet except for the small occasional sobs from one person or another. Maybe if someone talked, the truth would sink in, maybe if they kept quiet the reality could be avoided and they could lie about it.
The only sign of someone’s burial was a small grave stone newly placed in the garden where the various people were together. The coffin had just been placed moments ago, but no one looked inside the excavation. A single person stood closer to the grave than the others, looking grimly, almost without life, at the coffin.
