Though liking in general is believed to be related to the sensory experience as well (Moskowitz and Krieger, 1992 and Moskowitz and Krieger, 1995), the authors point out that consumers are not guided in what to focus on when evaluating liking, and therefore consumers could include other sensations besides the sensory ones in their rating. In this sense, liking can seem as a more holistic term than sensory satisfaction, contradictory to the suggestion by Andersen (2015) and Andersen and Hyldig (2015b) as stated in the introduction.
