Pound the Garlic, Chillie and Kapi individually to coarse pastes
To a heated pan add vegetable oil
Roast the crumbled Shrimp paste on a warm pan until the colour changes to a brown from the purplish appearance. Be careful not to burn the paste.This creates a very fragrant material and drives off some of the extreme volatile aromas
Add the other pastes and fry together until fragrant.
Add the pork and cook until just done.
Add the Sataw beans.
Stir fry until the beans are just cooked
Add the basil and a dash of water stir fry quickly until the basil just wilts.
Serve with rice.
