Vessels failing to score 86 or more points, are deemed to
have failed the inspection.
-Ships scoring an 85 or lower , are thus declared to have
an unsatisfactory sanitation level and have to be
re-inspected, usually within 30-45 days, to determine if
conditions have improved.
-The CDC declares that since the program began, the number of disease outbreaks on ships has decline, even though the number of ships sailing and the number of passengers carried has increased significantly
