This study conducted an experimental investigation on
3D honeycomb fabric characteristics compared with the
2D plain woven fabric using the same materials, and
the influence of the fabric geometry and elastic yarns
on the resultant fabric performance, that is, transferability
(air resistance, thermal conductivity, water absorption
and vapor transmission rate) and mechanical
properties (bending rigidity, compressional energy and
tensile behavior, such as breaking strength and elongation).
From this study the following conclusions can be
drawn based on the selected yarn types, weaves and weft
densities in the experiment.
