The unusual iridium enrichment was consistent with the hypothesis of Alverez et al [1], that this elements having an extraterrestrial origin. However, the KPB layer is now generally believed to have been precipitated by the impact of a 10-kilometer-wide asteroid which created the Chicxulub Crater. Observation micro - spherules deposit and Iridium anomalies at the KPB layer indicated a possible origin of a shock metamorphic event at KPB [2], and made a convincing case for the evidence for the mass extinction at the end of the Cretaceous. In India there are few KPB sections were reported at Anjar and Meghalaya [4]
