2.6. Time course study for biotransformation of all substrates
In time course experiment, the fine powder of each substrate
(4 g/L) was added into the medium after C. lini ST-1 was cultivated
for 24 h. Transformation reaction was carried out on a rotary shaker
(220 rpm) at 28 ◦C for 72 h. Time course for biotransformation of
all substrates were analyzed according to a method reported by
Koshimura with slight modification [17]. The samples (1 mL) were
withdrawn aseptically at every 6 h, extracted with ethyl acetate and
the level of transformation was monitored by HPLC
