5. Conclusions
Fresh Aspergillus residue is characterized by high in vivo OM and NDF digestibility and high stability under aerobic storage, but its direct ensiling properties are poor. Fresh okara is characterized by high in vivo OM and NDF digestibility and a shortshelf life, and its silage shows moderate DM losses but problematic end products. Fresh pomegranate pulp is characterizedby low in vivo OM and NDF digestibility and low stability to aerobic exposure, but can be ensiled directly with moderate DMlosses. Grape and avocado pulps are characterized by low in vivo OM digestibility originating from their low NDF digestibility, and low stability to aerobic exposure, but their silages are characterized by zero DM losses.
