At present, nursing students are not much concerned about their health such as lacking exercise which in turn causing sickness. This research was a quasi-experimental research design with the objective to study outcomes of an exercise program applying the Transtheoretical Model in nursing students at Kuakarun College of Nursing, Department of Medicine, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. Samples were 118 nursing students from 1st- 4th year who participated in the exercise intervention program for 6 weeks. It included knowledge sharing, health modeling, group discussion, peers motivation, goal identification, commitment making, exercise demonstrations, and rewards. Data were collected by questionnaires at pre and post intervention then were analyzed by frequency, percentage, and standard deviation, whereas statistical differences at pre and post test were tested with a paired t-test. The results indicated that at 6 weeks after the experiment most samples had improved their decision balance, self- efficacy and exercise behavior with a statistical significance of p - value < .05. Recommendations for the research are that social support be periodically included in the exercise promotion program and this program should be used in the nursing program.
