As expected, there exists a relationship between the distances during the 1stand
2
nd halves and the whole match. Moreover, HRs of 1st and 2nd half, average HR of
matches and anaerobic threshold HRrelationship are not statistically significant (p >
0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the movements of Amateur League
referees are below the anaerobic threshold level. Accordingly, movements are within
the framework of aerobic exercise during 1st and 2nd half. Mostrogiacomo (1992)
examined the hormonal and heart rate changes of 13 football referees aged 25.6 and
emphasized that this leads to changes in HR. Kartal (1992) estimated the maximum
heart rate as 181. 8 beat/min and anaerobic threshold level as 171beat/min.
