Ok… What is Chia?
Chia Seeds aka Salvia Hispanica seeds are the richest plant source of omega-3 fatty acids known, not to mention loads of antioxidants, Vitamin C, B, dietary fibre and much more. It’s a member of the mint family, originating in South/Central America and had been a staple food of the Aztecs for centuries. These seeds grow naturally in two colours, black and white. Some companies are claiming that the ‘white’ seeds are more nutritious than the black. This just simply isn’t true. Both black and white seeds contain essentially the same content of omega-3 and nutrients.
