Researchers Discover New Species of Dinosaur in Venezuela
Paleontologists in Venezuela have discovered the remains of a new species of dinosaur.
According to the researchers, the remains belong to a dinosaur of the "Tachiraptor admirabilis" pedigree. "Tachiraptor was probably a generalist predator that ate anything it could get, such as small dinosaurs and other vertebrates, such as lizards," says study author Max Langer.
The remains date to 200 million years ago. It is assumed that the species lived in the early Jurassic period.
