6. Troubleshooting
Most operators of gravity separators can get acceptable separations after working with the machine for a few minutes. However, in some cases, even experienced operators run into problems that cannot solve. Many operator expect result too soon from their Gravity Separators. When an adjustment is made wait at least five minutes before deciding whether it has made any improvement. A certain amount of time is required for the entire deck surface to adjust to the new conditions.
Do not attempt to operate the machine without an understanding of why it works. Your Gravity Separator makes a separation based on a particles weight and its resistance to air flow. Proper adjustment of all the control is necessary to obtain the best separation. Remember that your Maxi-Cap has four major adjustments Slope, Tilt, Speed and Air.
