Monitoring our suppliers is important,
but that alone is not enough to
create lasting change. This is why we
are investing substantial resources
to help them improve their management
systems and train workers and
management in order to strengthen
their in-house capacities. Our focus
is on our strategic partners where
we have stronger influence and bigger
impact. In 2014, we conducted
2,055 management system analyses.
Together with about 3,137 other
activities (such as training sessions
and workshops) and our audits, each
factory was subject to an average of
3.6 (strategic factories 3.7) activities
aiming to support them in further
improving their sustainability performance.
