ROOM RATE AUDIT CHECKLIST
1. Schedule rate changes are completed by front desk and forwarded to reservations who must check all rates for today’s arrivals against reservation rate check report.
2. Review the room variance report. Are we blocking out our upsell and length of stay capabilities
3. Review the rate check report to ensure missing rates are corrected. List rooms found and corrected with missing rates. Duty manager must ensure to check the rate change report before running the night audit.
4. Review the rate check report to ensure incorrect multiple rates are corrected. List rooms found and corrected with multiple rates.
5. Review the rate check report to ensure incorrect special rates are corrected. List rooms found and corrected with multiple rates.
6. Review the rate check report to ensure comp rooms are valid and checked against approved forms. List rooms found and corrected.
7. Review the rate check report to ensure transient market codes are checked against correct market rates. Correct incorrect rates.
8. Review the rate check report to ensure group market rates are checked against correct group market codes and cover sheets. List rooms found and corrected.
