Thirty-two (46.4%) of 69 women randomized completed
4 weeks of study participation, 10 (14.5%) completed
3 weeks, 7 (10.1%) completed 2 weeks, and 11 (15.9%)
completed 1 week. Compliance with group allocation was excellent for the guided imagery group (93.3–
95.8% each week), with only five instances of reported
noncompliance, and for the quiet rest group (93.8–100%
each week), with only three reports of noncompliance.
