Adsorption kinetic describes the controlling mechanism of adsorption processes which in turn governs the mass transfer
and equilibrium time (Mestre et al., 2011). The experimental data
of Yellow 18 adsorption onto activated carbon at different time
intervals were examined using pseudo-first-order, pseudosecond-
order and intra-particle diffusion kinetic models. The fit
of these models was checked by each linear plot of log (qeqt)
versus t (Fig. 2a), (t/qt) versus t (Fig. 2b) and qt versus t1/2
(Fig. 2c) at the temperatures of 298, 308 and 318 K, respectively
and by comparing to the regression coefficients for each expression.
