In this revised model of Kolb’s Learning Cycle, youth must have an opportunity to have a concrete experience, followed by the need to share that information with others. The next steps are the opportunity to process what worked well about the experience and what was challenging, the ability to generalize learning to other experiences, and apply the learned information and try it again1. This model provides youth with active engagement in their own learning process, and provides a ‘road map’ for activity development for youth programs.
