Hotels are not the only segment of the hospitality industy interested in the environment. The National Restaurant Association has developed an environment program called Conserve/EPA Energy star Challenge, and the Destination Marketing Association International has included it in their accreditation process. Greening of hospitality is a big issue today
and will only become more so in the future as more stakeholders and customers show their concern for the rain forest, the melting of the glaciers,and the changes in the earth's environment.
