Abstract
This research aimed to studying operational problems, comparing operational problems and finding solutions for operation problems of establishing schools as knowledge organization in the world-class standard school project, secondary level in Thailand. Research samples were 222 school directors in the world-class standard school project secondary level in Thailand. One of the two research tools was a questionnaire on operational problems of establishing school as knowledge organization in the world-class standard school project, secondary level in Thailand. The other research tools was an interview form on solution guidelines for operation problems of establishing schools as knowledge organization in the world-class standard school project, secondary level in Thailand. Statistics used for data analysis were means, standard deviation and t-test. Research findings showed that operation problems of establishing schools as knowledge organization in the world-class standard school project, secondary level in Thailand were in the “lowest” level. The aspect which had the highest mean scores was the empowerment aspect, with the mean scores of 2.03 and the standard deviation of 1.07. the first three problematic topics were schools’ lack of both technological data exchange and the data application for operational improvement, school administrators’ lack of both learning opportunity expansion and the encouragement for the school staff to apply new knowledge in their job operation and school staff’s lack of peer learning in resource planning and school’ operational strategies, respectively. Regarding the comparison of operational problems of establishing schools as knowledge organization as categorized by academic year when each school joined the world-class standard school project resulted in the difference in operational problems of establishing schools as knowledge organization at the 0.05 significance level however, the difference in types of school did not create any difference in operational problems of establishing schools as knowledge organization. Interview findings showed that schools should organize the training for the personnel and provide enough budget for the needs. The school should organize the activities that help promote communication, coordinate relation, and support the exchange of learning, the power distribution of which their operation should be evaluated regularly.
