Travellers can reduce the effects of jet lag by changing their eating and drinhing patterns. If you want to sleep on a plane, you should eat foods such as bread, pasta or cakes. Avoid eating high-protein foods such as meat, eggs or cheese. Don't drink tea or coffee for two days before flying. Remember that you don't have to eat and drink everything that they offer you on a plane. You should avoid alcohol and drink at least two litres of water on a six-hour flight. Exercise also helps. You can do simple exercises in your seat, or walk around the plane.
