-Predicting the cost of any future repair or maintenance work.

-Ensuring that all maintenance work and repairs are completed on time and within budget.
-Repairing building interiors and exteriors.
- Directing the work activities of company and contract personnel.
-Monitoring the performance of installed equipment.
-Following all policies regarding health, safety and environmental procedures.
-Determining the need for outside contractors to be involved in a project.
-Preparing schedules of work.
-Tracking data using a computerized maintenance management system.
-Ensuring that there is adequate breakdown cover at all times outside of the working day.
