This week will see 50 ASEAN undergraduates in Kuala Lumpur attending our CIMB Young ASEAN Leaders Seminar themed 'Protecting ASEAN Heritage'.
This seminar, in collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, will include lectures and workshops led by internationally renowned experts in heritage conservation like Francesco Volpini of Better World, Korea and documentation workshops led by Dr Norhayati Ahmad of UKM.
The seminar will include site visits to Rimbun Dahan, an artists' residency just outside Kuala Lumpur, and a day trip to our very own UNESCO World Heritage site of Melaka.
Post-seminar, the Young Leaders will be tasked with creating community-based and sustainable heritage conservation projects, the best of which will receive USD 5000 in seed funding from CIMB Foundation.
