The biocatalysts prepared using glyoxyl agarose were reduced by adding sodium borohydride to reach 1mgmL−1 [16] and maintained under agitation for 30min.When using glutaraldehyde supports, the immobilized enzyme was recovered by filtration and resuspended in 10 volumes of 100 mM bicarbonate buffer at pH 10.2 containing 1mgmL−1 sodium borohydride for 30min under mild stirring. ment reduces the remaining aldehyde groups and the imino bonds. The resulting derivatives were washed with abundant distilled water and, before use, with activity buffer.
