Once the sun has set and risen again the new day brings an abundance of sea life to enjoy. There are hundreds of living sand dollars. You will find some of the largest spider star-fish, some almost twelve inches in length. The calm waves of Sanibel Island make it easy to find small conch shells filled with snails and hermit crabs. The conch shells are rich in colors of orange and purple. With a little time and dedication you just might find a few empty conchs to take home.
