With elongation in a tensile test, the PLA continuous phase was stretched, with the NR phase being forced to elongate
at the same time.
After dissolution of the PLA phase, there is no residual PLA yield stress to maintain the deformed NR phase.
Consequently, the deformed NR phase was drawn back by its elastic nature effectively, resulting in the observed morphology shown in Fig. 6a.
At 50% strain, the “NR net” shows no rupture but with some deformation remaining along the elongation direction.
