All the functions and blocks are supported by a battery. The
design of each block will have to be carefully made in order to
maximize the battery duration.
In the analog part of the architecture, several types of sensors can
be placed, but for the implementation of the first prototype
explained later in this article, only the accelerometer has been
used. The data measured by the accelerometer will be received
- 108 -
and processed by the Personal Remote Monitoring Device and
then transmitted to a PC where it is going to be visualized.
The PC is going to be playing the role of the medical center where
the data is going to be received, analyzed and visualized for the
doctors, for which we have developed a RF receiver with RS-232
output.
