2.2.2.3. Production and capacity constraints. Eqs. (16)e(18) calculate the capacities of storages and Eq. (19) limits the total capacity of waste biomass storages to the maximum capacity.
Eqs. (21) and (22) represent the biogas production and biogas to electricity conversion amounts of bioenergy plants at site p. Eq. (23) ensures that the electrical energy production in bioenergy plant at site p must not exceed the technical capacity limit for electrical energy production of the plant.
assures that the total solid content of the mixture of biomass slurry in each bioenergy plant must be between the technical limits to ensure an efficient fermentation process in the digesters. The constraint also determines the amount of water required to satisfy the total solid content limits
2.2.2.4. Fertilizer distribution constraints. As stated before, residue of the digestion process can be utilized as organic fertilizer in agricultural lands. Eq. (25) computes the fertilizer production amount in each bioenergy plant site. Eq. (26) assures that the distributed fertilizer amount to agricultural lands in biomass source sites from each bioenergy plant sited in p must not exceed the fertilizer requirement in that lands.
