noparticle wascharacterizedbyscanningelectronmicroscope(SEM)andtransmissionelectronmicro-
scope (TEM).Variousinfluencing parametersontheseparationandpreconcentrationoftracelevel
cadmium ionssuchas,pHvalue,amountofnanoparticles,amountofdiphenylcarbazone,conditionof
eluting solution,theeffectsofmatrixionswereexamined.Thecadmiumionscanbeelutedfromthe
modified magneticnanoparticleusing1molL
1 HCl asadesorptionreagent.Thedetectionlimitofthis
method forcadmiumwas3.71ngml
1 and theR.S.D.was0.503%(n¼6). Theadvantagesofthisnew
method includerapidity,easypreparationofsorbentsandahighconcentrationfactor.Theproposed
method hasbeenappliedtothedeterminationofCdionsattracelevelsinrealsamplessuchas,green
tea, rice,tobacco,carrot,lettuce,ginseng,spice,tapwater,riverwater,seawaterwithsatisfactoryresults.
