China’s CSPC shuts its steam cracker in Huizhou
According to market sources, China’s CSPC, a joint venture between Shell and the China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC), shut its naphtha-fed steam cracker in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province on January 25 due to weather conditions. The expected restart date is unclear.
CSPC’s cracker can produce 950,000 tons/year of ethylene, 500,000 tons/year of propylene and 165,000 tons/year of butadiene.
