Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and soybean peroxidase (SBP) have been used in this regard for the oligomerisation of natural substituted ortho-methoxyphenols ( Antoniotti et al., 2004). Starting from natural product apocynin, the oligomers obtained upon ortho C–C couplings were characterised, and shown to inhibit the migration of breast cancer cells at the micromolar level as a result of intracellular signalling break down ( Klees et al., 2006).
