Big teeth
The mouth of Tyrannosaurus probably contained
anywhere between SQ.,and 60 teeth at anyone
time. The longest proje?ted some 15cm/6in
above the jaw, with the same length, or more,
beneath, firmly anchored within the jaw bone
itself. As the animal's old teeth wore down
or were broken, new ones grew to replace
them, giving the mouth something of a
gappyappearance.
