The highest average increase in height was found in the potting
media containing soil : vermicompost (2:1,v/v) with an increase
in height by 4.11 cms after 30 days. This finding partially
corroborates with the finding of Saindane et al. (1999), who
reported that out of the different potting media of soilrite,
vermicompost, leaf-mould, river sand and press-mud cake,
vermicompost effected the maximum growth of stems, leaves
and roots in the plantlets of cv. Grande Naine.
